Palmetto Pioneer

1800s. People yearned for change. They left their home to go West. As pioneers. They didn’t know where the trail would lead but had hope for better lives. A better place. They expanded what today is the USA we love.

It took people with a dream. A vision. Explorers. That’s what our campaign is. I dream of a day when collaboration can replace accusation. Where the goal is improvement for all, not half.

Our government is made up of two opposing parties.  They have nearly equal strength. We are gridlocked. We can’t approve a budget. The resulting vacuum has shifted real power from Congress to presidential executive orders and Supreme Court rulings.  Every decision goes to court.

We need a return to citizen representatives. Not career politicians. We need term limits. We need to take money out of the equation. Our elections are being bought.

I’m pioneering the idea that you can win without money. That you don’t need to be on one side of the aisle. The message must go on. Social media and word of mouth can replace money. Even if I die on the trail, I want the message to go on.

Who would have believed when the pioneers headed west it would turn into America from Atlantic to Pacific. Someone has to hit the trail. With hope. Against all odds. I am called to do this. Not for me. For the message. Term limits matter. Collaboration not agitation. Citizens United should mean what it says. Not a court precedent that put our elections in the hands of billionaires.

Help a pioneer. Be a pioneer. Through word of mouth. Through likes, shares, reposts and comments on social media. And by signing our petition to get on the ballot. Let your voice be heard if you agree with the message. Term limits matter.
